With basic training, a group of lay caregivers could fulfill the biblical injunction to encourage others, thereby relieving some of the counseling burden pastors now carry .  A group of twelve carefully selected members of Tiffany Fellowship Assembly of God were trained in specific caregiving skills around an 'encouraging' model of counseling. Hebrews"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Church growth principles were analyzed from the perspective of Reformed theology and Presbyterian polity. A model for church growth based on hospitality (Hebrews 13:1-6) was developed.  A program to reverse the membership trend in Eastminster Presbytery (59 churches in northeastern Ohio) included clergy and lay convocations, a major training event and a follow-up consisting of training volunteers in church growth. The project span was from May 2006 - December 2006. The methodology included survey questions, interviews and a memoir. The findings revealed that the participants recognized a theological significance in voting. The voter mobilization effort influenced the participants' passion for the community embracing a better quality of life through the power of the vote. These sermons are designed for use during an outreach camp setting. The author reviewed the state of adolescent culture and wrote a theological case for proclamation and incarnational ministry. A basic framework for evangelistic message sequences is offered and a message sequence along with seven manuscripts were written. In August 2004, these sermons were presented during four camp settings. They were revised and presented again in April 2006 and August 2006 during three camp settings. A proposed series of strategies was designed to raise our level of Spirituality using the following:  Goal 1: Communicate prayer needs weekly until December 31, 2006.  Goal 2: Provide at least three additional corporate spiritual growth opportunities.     Goal 3: Provide at least three additional individual spiritual growth opportunities. Youth ministry theologians have recently begun to argue for the need to shift from focusing on the formal structure of youth ministry and rather focus on the informal structures involved in youth ministry.  This project focuses on a study of the informal structures involved in the 2006 Youth Theology Initiative (YTI) Summer Academy.  The role of the informal structure of residential life during the 2006 YTI Summer Academy is explored and is shown to have made a significant transformative impact in the lives of the youth who participated in the program. A training model including twelve sessions of lecture and group activities was developed, and a selected group of adults was enlisted.  To test for a cognitive gain of knowledge, the experimental method of pretesting and posttesting was used.  Test comparisons revealed a significant increase in the cognitive test scores of the experimental group.  A t-value of 2.76 was computed which was significant at the .01 level of confidence. Forty-four sessions of Presbyterian churches in western Pennsylvania, ranging in size from 47 to 700 members, responded to a questionnaire devised to measure right brain-left brain tendencies.  The smaller congregations gave more right brain responses than the larger congregations; results were statistically significant at the .01 level. The goals of this project are to (a) strengthen the purpose of the local church, the First Congregational Church of Woodbury, and (b) inspire individual and community leadership. Three faith summits and a 'faith \u0026 justice' lecture series were devised. The first summit was held in the fall of 2005, the second faith summit in the spring of 2006, and the third in the fall of 2006.  The 'faith \u0026 justice' lecture was a by-product of evaluations and learning from the three faith summits. Two committees were formed. The intra-religious committee and the inter-religious task force help steer the dialogue. Ongoing lectures and events are now combined efforts of both committees.
