It included biblical references, writers in the Christian tradition and insights gained from Eastern traditions.  It included travel to selected ashrams of India. A questionnaire was distributed to parents, young adults, and catechists to elicit their understanding of reconciliation in their daily lives and their understanding and attitude toward the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  A separate questionnaire was distributed to priests to elicit their experiences of the sacrament with adults and children.  The experiences of the adults and catechists revealed that many have not had an updating since their childhood and basically see the sacrament as a time just to confess their wrong doings.  For many it was a negative, fear-filled experience.  The priests' responses revealed that the new form of the sacrament is not being used and they prefer face to face experiences over and against Form One. Lesson plans and theological content are given for a course to train liturgical catechists. Free moral will is claimed by liberal religion to be a part of our human dignity.  Modern evolutionary theory poses a serious challenge to this claim.  The place of human moral freedom is called into question.  The problem is to construct an adequate, meaningful doctrine of free moral will which is 'true' within an evolutionary framework.  The theologies of Ralph W Burhoe and Henry N Wieman are reviewed to discover their doctrines of free moral will in light of evolutionary theory.  They are found to be inadequate for liberal religion. Students attended lectures on the theology of church, spirituality, and the poor.  Speakers were invited to describe ministries to the poor.  Students selected ministries and received supervision at poverty sites.  A questionnaire was designed to reveal any attitudinal changes in students' perceptions of church, spirituality, and the poor resulting from the course 'Experiences in Ministry.' The thesis summarizes work done in foundations of gestalt therapy, a pastoral care model presented by Clebsch and Jaekle (healing, sustaining, guiding, reconciling), and primary chemical dependency treatment (utilizing the Minnesota Model).  The author then presents case illustrations dealing with an individual stuck in past history, a  family with communication difficulties, a couple trapped by the past, a grief experience, and an individual seeking a sense of safety.
