Korean scholars to date follow an old tradition which derives 'diakonos' from 'dia' (through) and 'konis' (dust.)  But this derivation is a case of confusion of 'diakonio' (pulvere, to in the dust) with 'diakoneo' (to serve.)  The author exegetes Acts 6 discussing the Grecian Jews, the Hebrews, and the Samaritans. The work was submitted to a panel of six judges from diverse backgrounds for evaluation. This ministry project was carried out first by equipping two laymen in continuing witness training, followed by three pre-marital preparation (pastoral) counseling training sessions.  The sessions dealt with such issues as reasons for pre-marital preparation, communication, listening, acceptance, Gospel, finances, and in-laws. Clergy exercise leadership in the ministries of worship, education, and pastoral care.  Laity lead in the ministries of stewardship, evangelism, and service. The group participants wrote and shared their life histories. From these personal narratives we discovered a common dramaturgical pattern within our congregation. The thesis that stewardship is a 'Christ-believer partnership in redeemed life' is developed through five worship experiences and five training sessions for the stewardship council.  Parables, in Luke's gospel, interpreted by means of the literary criticism praxis approach, which utilizes a case study method, gives shape to the educational framework.
