Three theses with regard to future planning summarize the author's findings: the role of the pastor; authority and power for planning; and membership consensus of mission and future vision. The results of the study indicate that in this sample, unresolved infertility negatively impacted parenting function.  Two themes that emerged from the data were denial of the difference between being a biological mother and a stepmother, and anxiety over the stability of the family constellation. Six students attended the Christian Day School operated by the church, and six students attended public school and Sunday school at Immanuel Lutheran Church.  There were three groups, with an equal number of boys and girls, in each group representing first, fourth, fifth, and seventh grades.  To investigate their God images, the students were interviewed, using the interview utilized by David Heller. The approach was an enhancement of Holland's and Henriot's 'pastoral circle.' The structure of the approach is informed by cases of abusive children.  Two case studies are offered with reflection on the approach developed and abusive children themselves.  Results showed the approach to be positive especially in combining input from theology and social sciences.  The children were noted to be unrealistic in their assessment of their relationships with other family members. This study shows that leadership training can be very effective, especially in a campus ministry setting, by nurturing and training the many intellectual young adults available.  It endeavors to utilize leadership training for class meeting leaders as a vehicle for developing lay leadership.
