The study employed a retrospective analysis of demographic and diagnostic data on treatment records from 112 patients who received individual treatment at the agency in 1986. Thirty-two percent of referrals were from pastors, most of whom were from mainline Protestant denominations. Marital complaints were cited most often among patients. Chi-Square analyses indicated patients referred by pastors were no different than those from other sources. Clergy respondents prefer a leadership style of people orientation.  In transitional communities, church growth is correlated with population changes and church programming. The project instructs worship leaders and congregations in the overall theology of baptism and how to express that theology through the design and implementation of a baptismal liturgy.  The project was implemented in two phases.  The first was an eight-week study of the institution, meanings, and practice of baptism. The second phase was to design and implement a baptismal liturgy that focused on the celebration of baptism as an act of worship. By integrating feminism, object relations theory, and theology a theory is created which evaluates the meaning of females' traditional Christian faith as that affects psychological development. A parallel is drawn between cultural gender definitions and male god representation functions. It examines the various Christian attitudes toward war (crusades, pacifism, just-war, and nuclear pacifism).  The report outlines historical, biblical, and theological bases for the various Christian responses.  Methodology includes research, teaching five fifty-minute seminary classes, written evaluations by students and an official observer, and critical reflective action.  The project shows positive results, raises interesting questions, and highlights some moral ethical implications for future study and Christian action.
