These include: the directive style of the Word where the primary resource person is Eduard Thurneysen; the nondirective style of acceptance and relationship where the primary resource person is Carl Rogers; and the hermeneutical/narrative style where the primary resource persons are Donald Capps, Charles Gerkin, and Charles Winquist. Six case studies are represented in which the hermeneutical/narrative style is put into practice. The pastoral method in each case study is evaluated. The conclusion dicusses the relationships, method, and implications."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Candler School of Theology"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["1e360310-aec8-4e88-a19a-00b4db71ef4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791135106494103552,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:45:48.277Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:41:51Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:44:44Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"b0951175-4de8-4b24-8e52-9c26cad5e8a0","accessControl_ssim":["6937c60a-db95-4402-bfc8-69b964bd2773"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["The development of a contemporary model of outreach and nurture based on the Wesley class meeting and for use in a new congregation"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:41:51Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T03:13:31Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["b0309e6a-5bd5-4c17-978c-aeed06040ba0"],"hasLease_ssim":["d0f6ae09-1351-4c1d-97fb-30d97378f5ed"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Candler School of Theology"],"year_tesim":["1988"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Stuart C Greene"],"keyword_tesim":["Relation (Theology)"],"publisher_tesim":["Candler School of Theology of Emory University"],"subject_tesim":["Church--History of doctrines","Wesley, John, 1703-1791","Theology","Conversion","Methodist class meetings","Church development, New","Church group work"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This project designed and tested a contemporary adaptation of the Wesley class meeting which the author called a Journey in Discipleship. The project implemented in the Mountain View United Methodist Church in the Fall of 1987. It organized persons into small groups for study, sharing and reflection. This project was designed to put into practice the uniqueness Baptists claim for the priesthood of all believers. If all Christians are priests, then there should be no distinctions between the clergy and laity. The aim of this project was to 'empower' the laity for intentional ministry in the church. Twenty-six people were enlisted for this project. Seven were participants in the ministry training and supervision. Of these seven, three constituted the experiment group and four constituted the control group. The control group was trained but not supervised. The experiment group was supervised for five months after training. The remaining people served as evaluators and support group systems. Those who were both trained and supervised became more effective in ministry than those who were trained but not supervised. The author used tests for measurement and constructed pre-project and post-project evaluations."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["e59d8a7f-b140-41e1-9d1f-4e98aaa1d973"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791132554026287104,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:05:14.054Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":13089,"label":"Unknown"},{"value":"D.Min.
