Research into the current literature on marriage, an interview with a clinical psychologist, and questionnaires indicate that communication and conflict resolution skills are vital for good marriages.  Exercises are assigned to the couples during the seminar to put these skills into practice. The major biblical concepts of marriage and sexuality are presented. It presents a philosophical/theological model which employs the Schaefferian line-of-despair which is adapted to Muslims. Five small groups participated in a ten-month program of spiritual formation using John Wesley's 'band' model.  A questionnaire was administered to the small groups and the rest of the congregation before and after the program.  The small groups experienced significannt spiritual renewal but the remainder of the congregation did not. It focuses on the problems and possibilities for ministers who share ministry with the same congregation.  From Phyllis Trible's God and the Rhetoric of Sexuality the author takes the definition of feminism as a critique of culture in light of misogyny.  This definition provides the starting point for her critique of ministry.  From Elisabeth Schuessler Fiorenza's book In Memory of Her she learns the ways of feminist hermeneutics which serve as a critical tool for viewing the development of the church and ministry and as a constructive tool for seeing and creating new possibilities in ministry. Shared ministry, the possibility which the author envisions, applies a feminist hermeneutics to the life of the church. The project featured group sessions in which the participants and the author reflected on their witnessing experiences. The program included four introductory training sessions, nine witnessing and reflection sessions, a role-play session and a final session for evaluation. The project resulted in slight improvement in scheduled witnessing contacts, though not in informal contacts.  Both the participants and the author received positive affirmation. He enlisted six unchurched persons and led them in eight Bible studies which focused on the primary themes of the Gospel of John.  The evaluative instruments demonstrated that all of the participants grew spiritually as a result of the project. The project combined learning activities, the writing of twelve articles, and an evaluation of these articles.  The majority of the articles were accepted eventually for publication. Four needs were discovered during a meeting of bivocational pastors.  Pastoral care, family time, preaching and time management were addressed in separate workshops which lasted one full day each.  All of the workshops examined the time problem for the bivocational pastor in his roles as pastor and as secular employee.  The project found that much more attention must be directed to the dual roles of the bivocational pastor.
