The research was done through the examination of books which have been written on the subject. An exegetical study of certain selected biblical passages dealing with the matter of the praise of God was also included in the research.  The amount of knowledge concerning the subject was determined by the use of a pre-test and post-test designed by the author.  A series of eleven sermons were preached in order to increase the knowledge of the church members. Pastors face this societal stress, plus additional anxieties stemming from their ministry. The resultant effect is harmful, physically and emotionally, to the minister.  The writer theorized that pastors could learn coping skills to limit the impact of the stress they faced.  Coping skills dealing with three major areas of ministry stress were presented in a seminar forum to a select group of pastors.  A pre-post stress test was given the participants. The author advanced the thesis that all pastoral relationships must begin with God, progress to the family, and ultimately to others.  He presented the thesis during eight days of training, utilizing evaluation instruments, Bible messages, discussion groups, and assigned reading.  He reinforced the project with a three-month program of planned family interaction, reading, and peer group meetings.  Most participants indicated considerable improvement in relationships with God.  Over fifty percent indicated improved family relationships.
