Using Wesleyan baptismal and sanctification theologies and covenant renewal service, the author created a baptismal reaffirmation service to be applied to the worship and baptism at Hyosung Central Methodist Church. The author used sermons to teach the meaning of baptism, decorations in the baptismal hall to help believers recall their baptism, and the baptismal reaffirmation service to physically use water to emphasize the importance of sanctification. The results of the project show an increase in understanding of baptism and reaffirmation for the participants."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["5a6e4a36-5801-4bff-8e61-86d7489efb4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799719365898141696,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T02:48:55.996Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T18:10:36Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T02:05:45Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"69fc35bd-ea38-4111-a8c8-ebade152b1a7","accessControl_ssim":["7136e524-2d98-46c7-b408-0ecfca30834b"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Developing a Vision Strategy for Ebenezer Baptist Church in Hillsborough, North Carolina"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T18:10:35Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T01:14:02Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["b25423b8-9479-4e89-bf55-fd231c25a0dc"],"hasLease_ssim":["f7567798-94aa-47cd-838f-becfc94292c3"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Rhyne Putman"],"year_tesim":["2018"],"location_tesim":["North Carolina","United States"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Robert C Sipper"],"publisher_tesim":["New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Leadership--Religious aspects--Christianity","Vision--Religious aspects","Baptists","Strategic planning"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Seeking to reach a community with the gospel of Jesus Christ requires an intentional path for fostering lives of investment and passion. The purpose of this project was to develop a vision strategy for Ebenezer Baptist Church in Hillsborough, North Carolina. By studying the demographics of the community and the church, the project director hoped to see God working to bring believers together to formulate avision strategy. Concurrently, the project director studied and evaluated several models for developing a vision strategy, seeking to guide a leadership team to discover the unique makeup of the church and how an intentional strategy within the framework of a tailored model will guide the future of the church. Professionally, the project director sought to grow in his knowledge of vision strategies and ability to adapt avision strategy process to other venues. Additionally, the project director hoped to gain leadership skills that transcend the project for use inmultiple settings in the church and community. The project director planned to use various rubrics and evaluators to appraise the research, methodology, and concluding product.
