To achieve this objective, the thesis will focus itself on the following sections: . What is solid waste? . What is the history of managing solid waste in Ghana? . Why is it important to manage solid waste for matters having to do with the economy and health? . Understanding solid waste management in theological perspective. On solution, the aim of the thesis is to develop a theology of stewardship as a response to the solid waste problem in Ghana. Through a survey involving fourteen pastors and a seminar engaging six pastors, the author--a pastor with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)--demonstrates the effectiveness of an interactive seminar in developing balanced yet positive attitudes about psychiatric medications. The project is curriculum to address the problem and provide a plan for men to conquer it. The research method includes Bible, secular and Christian processes of heart and desire change. Curriculum was taught in a 5 year long addiction group. This study concludes that conquering is possible yet finds that the secular and Christian theories presented fall short of solution. Conquering can occur through application of an allegiance to Christ process. The issue of leadership transition is becoming of more frequent concern within the local church. The continual growth in leadership turnover is causing traumatic experiences for not only the pastor in transition, but for the church congregation as well. While it is true that there exists a multitude of various resource guides, books, and strategies on the topic of leadership transition, many pastors and church congregations are still finding themselves unprepared and ill-equipped to endure a leadership transition of a pastor or ministerial leader without bearing some form of traumatic experience. The purpose of this project is to assist the local church body to be better prepared for a change in leadership by providing an effective leadership plan for a transition of leadership. The author used mixed research methodology to find quantitative and qualitative results from the local church that he pastored, Chinese Christian Union Church-West (CCUC-W), and four other Chicago area churches. Based on the available data, both the quantity and quality index of CCUC-W were low, and this information was a danger signal of decline. The pastor needed a new approach to guide this church to healthy growth. Research considers a theological history of baptism in the early church, and a case study of Hopewell Presbyterian Church's baptism records and data from a congregational survey on baptism beliefs and practices.
