The researcher used three data streams -- scriptural, contemporary and case studies -- to determine possible causes for homophobia in the AAC in the DMV. The data revealed that leaders acting on what they have been taught frame their ministry paradigms in ministering to LGBT people. These influences are deeply embedded into the culture of the AAC and the psyche of the AA pastor. Using a Womanist framework, the project determines how AME congregations and ecclesiastical leadership can respond appropriately to clergywomen's voices and leadership styles. Six AME senior pastors are interviewed and twelve senior pastors and other women clergy are surveyed identifying four areas of interviewed and twelve senior pastors and other women clergy are surveyed identifying four areas of disparity between female clergy and their male counterparts: the call to ministry, preparation for ministry, well being , and church status. Theological anthropology helps deconstruct the author's personal experience in Part One. Max Weber's theory of ideal types continues  the author's systematic arguments for placing social location as a primary consideration in pastoral ministry in Part II. In addition, there is a biblical-theological overview of 'apostolicity' (with focused exegesis of Ephesians 4 and Acts 17). This project consisted of eleven training sessions and two weekend retreats used to teach biblical humility and the ability to listen by using the formula of the Real Time Strategic Change Method. Findings revealed that the participants grew in the virtue of humility while the change in listening skills were not statistical significant. God commands believers to engage his word, and through obedience to this command, members have the opportunity for spiritual change. Scripture records both reading and/or listening as two mediums for engagement. In this project, the administrator directed members to engage Scripture through an aural medium. Listening and reflection templates along with five assessments provided measurable evaluations. Using Everett Roger's attributes of innovations in a series of focus groups and semi-guided interviews, this study explores the theology and best practices of an Anglo church experiencing growth through integrated Hispanic ministry. A survey of Hispanic ministry models is offered highlighting the integrated model. Teaching was conducted at a one-day workshop and focused on viewing church health through the lenses of God's mission, systems theory perspectives related to mission, and revitalization principles interpreted through God's mission for the church. Observations and interviews assessed how participants were impacted.
