Understanding blind spots, amygdala hijacks, feedback, and self-awareness is key to growth in personal and professional relationships. A three-month training module, including the MSCEIT and personal x-rays, resulted in EI growth among GEM's leadership team. Questions addressed include how to be more self-aware; how to give/receive feedback; understanding big assumptions or hidden competing commitments that prevent EI growth; and how to most effectively lead others by modeling high relational skills. This is a comprehensive approach to reducing and eliminating obesity and food diseases in Christians through fasting, eating well, and exercise. The research method utilized for this project was a 31 day program that increased the spiritual growth of the thirty-six people in the areas of intellectual capacity about food, convictions, and conduct in a verifiable manner that is statistically significant. The author explored the background of the sweeping changes that the Church faces in the twenty-first century, visited congregations of various sizes and locations to investigate how the average parishioner understands discipleship, and undertook the work of developing a parish covenant as a way of strengthening community and forming disciples for the work of mission. Parish surveys, semi-structured interviews and statistical analysis were employed. The purpose of this project was to determine principles and praxes of disciple-making global youth ministry, to identify character traits, competencies, and areas of knowledge that would be pertinent in training potential global youth ministers, and to develop and field-test a college-level course, Engaging in Disciple-Making Youth Ministry in a Global Context. This project examines three ways a congregation used narrative to explore personal faith. The author created story salons as a means to connect personal narratives with biblical and other narratives. Second the author describes a class he created to use creative writing as a spiritual discipline. Finally the author wrote a novel, Galleotto, which explores doubt as a means toward reintegrated faith.
