The biblical research focused on the household code, texts that have been used to call for the silence of women and a philosophy of reading scripture that elevates the conversation above a war over isolated scriptures. The historical research provided evidence of women serving in church leadership throughout the history of the early church. It isolates specific aspects for understanding church leadership as participating with Christ as he leads his church. Scripture and contemporary literature on the subject were studied, then a qualitative study collected and analyzed data from short missions done through the Village Church, Racho Santa Fe.  The data was analyzed by examining it through coding in order to derive a grounded theory of the phenomenon of short-term missions. Eight pastoral staff participated in the three-month program and were pretested and posttested using both quantitative and qualitative measurements. The results were statistically insignificant with regard to behavioral change. The hypothesis is that the youth of Second Baptist Church will increase participation and involvement in the church and community. The effectiveness of the project will be measured by employing qualitative methodology, utilizing pre and post-test, and journaling through a series of workshops. The primary objective was to educate couples on eight dimensions of intimacy and measure the impact on satisfaction and commitment. It was hypothesized that after receiving the education, couples would report increases in intimacy, satisfaction, and commitment. A convenience sample of ten couples participated in a twelve week marital enrichment program. Results indicated that participating in the program increased marital satisfaction and strengthened commitment. Merge sought to help emerging adults grow in faith, utilizing conversation, silence, reflection, and creative arts.  Participants took part in nine weekly group sessions and a culminating retreat, during which they helped in planning for the future of Merge as a program of the religious life office at Ohio Northern.  Growth was measured utilizing the Faith Maturity Scale. A group of 18-26 year olds will partner with a fifty-something pastor in sermon preparation for three months. The group will reflect on selected biblical texts and provide insights for sermon development.  Data from the group, the preached sermons, sermon evaluations, and interviews with key stakeholders will inform recommendations for next steps.
