First, the project director researched spiritual disciplines and effective methods used in teaching children. Second, he developed a course to train selected parents in these discipleship skills. Third, he implemented the course by training selected parents.  Participants attended five sessions on selected disciplines, and they took a pre-test and post-test to aid in evaluation. This thesis was tested with pre- and post-study surveys of A welcoming life participants. Results show that participants changed their beliefs about hospitality and God's desire for them to share their faith and their behavior regarding the frequency with which they share their faith and invite others to their churches. The writing focuses on how Christians can maintain integrity in the workplace. The theoretical section identifies various business and social forces that work against maintaining one's integrity on the job and examines current research in the theology of work for its implications to laboring Christians. The project portion assesses and summarizes the theoretical factors and develops a structured Power Point course to teach theological, social, business and ethical considerations to working churchgoers. The setting was Oak Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church. Seven theme sermons on the attributes of God were provided to provide a spiritual foundation for the church family. Seven African style intergenerational Bible studies were created to facilitate the healing, sustaining, guiding, and reconciling of Jesus within the church family. Once completed, the project director selected and led a strategy development team to enhance the corporate worship of First Baptist Church through a series of teaching sessions. The project director instructed the team on the Principles of Authentic Worship, Roadblocks and Resources of Authentic Worship, Lifestyle Worship, Why a Biblical Strategy?, and Developing an Authentic Worship Strategy. The supposition of the project was that a crisis exists in North American society regarding the capacity of young adult males to develop toward authentic manhood. The project's thesis was that training young adult males in spiritual disciplines would help them progress toward spiritual maturity and authentic manhood. Through this project the director taught participants how to practice six spiritual disciplines. First, the project examines issues faced by national Guard Chemical soldiers with regard to family reintegration. Second, the project examines Army training doctrine in order to address the reintegration issues. The end goal of the project was to develop a marriage training program that takes place during a retreat format. The retreat would include many of the elements discovered during the research phase.
