The purpose of the project is to equip selected members of Auburn Baptist Church in Tupelo, Mississippi to minister to individuals with family members in personal care homes. This project will include: 1. Research into an understanding of the needs unique to the primary caregiver. 2. Development of a workshop to provide appropriate training for selected individuals which will include an awareness of the needs of caregivers, pastoral diagnosis models, caregiver coping skills, the grief process, reflective listening skills, and practical help for the caregiver. 3. Preparation of selected individuals, through participation in the workshop, for ministry to individuals who have loved ones in personal care homes.
