Abstrait
  • This project reports a systematic effort to discover and develop a response to the expressed needs of inactive younger members of two small-town United Methodist Churches. It reports findings, gained through focused interviews conducted by the pastor, that many participants had never established a relationship with the Christ, felt it was of little or no importance, and had related to confirmation as a rite of passage or graduation from Sunday school. It is grounded in a study of the history, purpose, theology and methods of evangelism and the needs and characteristics of young adults.
