  • The purpose of this project is to design Sunday school lessons based on a Wesleyan understanding of spiritual formation. The objective is to assist the adult student in approaching John Wesley's contribution to spiritual growth and help him utilize the methods and means offered. An adult Free Methodist Sunday school class served as the field setting for a pretest inventory, three lessons, posttest inventory, and interview. Strengths and needs from the pretest determined the lessons' focuses. The post-test indicated no significant changes but showed students' interest in pursuing more Wesleyan spirituality concepts.
