The purpose of this ministry project was to develop an outreach model that incorporates the three largest and most active ministries of the West Haven Baptist Church. The goal was to reach, evangelize and assimilate nonchurched nonbelievers in our area. We examined and evaluated our Sunday morning worship service. We developed procedures that ensured teams trained in Evangelism Explosion visited all Sunday morning worship and Sunday School guests and prospects. The emphasis of these visits was evangelism and enrollment in Sunday School. Finally, adult Sunday School classes were organized to ensure appropriate follow-up and assimilation of new Sunday School members into the fellowship of the church.
