- The author's thesis is that assumptions about, and management of issues relating to shame, sexuality and speech are critical factors for collegiality in ministry. Using a phenomenological approach and practical theological method, the author provided six in-depth case studies of women who had completed CPE supervisory training. The author concluded that shame, sexuality and speech act as hinges on a door; i.e., they can act to either shut out or open up the way towards collegiality in ministry. Reconciliation and prophetic witness are important keys in unlocking the door.
