Abstrakt

Preaching through Genesis 1-11 and its themes are the subject of this project. The author's goal was to help his congregation develop a biblically sound worldview. A substantial portion of the project focused on the issue of origins with special focus on the creation-evolution debate. The author analyzed the need for such a project, set forth the theoretical base, addressed the challenge of communicating to the modern listener, and gave a detailed account of hermeneutical approaches to Genesis 1-11. The project concluded with a description and evaluation of a sermon series that was preached in his congregation.
